Crescent Collegiate teacher charged with assaulting a student

Following an investigation conducted by Whitbourne RCMP, 53-year-old Katherine Peddle, a teacher at Crescent Collegiate, is charged with one count of assault against a student.

On February 20, 2023, police received the report of an alleged assault involving a teacher and a student that occurred while school was in session. On March 3, 2023, Peddle attended the detachment and was arrested for assault. She was released from custody and is set to attend court on May 10, 2023.

Crescent Collegiate, which is located in Blaketown, is comprised of students from grades seven to twelve.
