On March 24, 2023, at approximately 8:50 am, Cross Lake RCMP received a report of a missing 18-year-old female from Pimicikamak First Nation. She was last seen on March 21, 2023. Officers began searching the community.
At approximately 12:35 pm on March 24, RCMP received a report of a deceased person found near the lake. The deceased was confirmed to be the missing 18-year-old female. It is believed the female was outside for a period of time.
An autopsy will be conducted. Cross Lake RCMP continue to investigate.
