Grande Prairie RCMP investigate report of child luring

Grande Prairie RCMP are investigating a report of child luring, which occurred on March 5, 2023, at approximately 8:25 a.m., in the area of 122 Avenue and 124 Avenue.

Grande Prairie RCMP responded to a complaint of a suspicious person who approached an 11-year-old male in an attempt to lure him into a vehicle. The male said no and walked away immediately going through a nearby park. The male observed the same vehicle on the other side of the park but was able to leave the area without further interaction and make it home safely.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a black older model vehicle possibly a BMW with tinted windows. The suspect was wearing a black ski mask and sunglasses.
