Harbour Grace RCMP investigates hit and run collision in Carbonear, pedestrian injured

Harbour Grace RCMP is investigating a hit and run collision that occurred on the evening of March 29, 2023, in Carbonear, leaving a pedestrian with injuries.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., police received the report of a collision that occurred near Tim Hortons on Columbus Drive. A car that was departing the parking lot of Tim Hortons struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road on Columbus Drive. The driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene of the collision and was last seen turning left onto Powell Drive.

The pedestrian was transported to Carbonear General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The involved vehicle is described as a black Honda Civic. Photos and a short video are attached.

The investigation is continuing.
