The RCMP Academy will be hosting the Indigenous Pre-Cadet Training Program (IPTP) graduation on Friday, June 2, 2023.
Candidates arrived at Depot from across the country to take part this three-week program designed to give young First Nations, Inuit and Métis people a first-hand look at a career in policing.
These graduates bring a valuable perspective and understanding of their unique cultures which enhances the RCMP's ability to create better partnerships and relationships with Canada's Indigenous communities.
The graduation ceremony will include a drill display, certificate presentation, award presentation, valedictorian speech and Commanding Officer's address.

Members of the media are invited to attend the graduation. Please RSVP to register with Depot Division Media Relations by 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 1, 2023.
Arrival time and escort details will be provided. Only registered parties will be permitted onto Depot grounds. There are no in and out privileges, attending media is asked to stay for the duration of the event. There will be interview availability following the event.
