On Friday, January 20, 2023 at approximately 10:00 am, Yukon RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence in the 100 block of Lewes Boulevard, in the Riverdale neighbourhood in Whitehorse, Yukon. The operation safely concluded at approximately 11:30 am.
The Whitehorse RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) and the Yukon RCMP's Critical Incident Program (CIP) teams participated, including the Yukon Police Dog Section. There were no injuries.
Police remained on scene for most of the day completing the search of a residence. This search warrant execution was connected to an on-going investigation relating to the media release we published on January 11, 2023 related to online meeting safety. This is a continuing criminal code investigation and there is a need to preserve the integrity of that investigation.

RCMP performed standard continuing risk assessments that showed no risk to the public or schools in the area. Schools and daycares were contacted to give notice of the planned police activity in the area.
