Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigates homicide in Kehewin First Nation

On Feb. 20, 2024, at 10:45 a.m., Bonnyville RCMP received a report of a suspicious death on Kehewin First Nation. Upon arrival, RCMP located a deceased 38-year-old male Kehewin First Nation resident.

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has been deployed and has taken carriage of the investigation. There is no threat to public safety.

The victim has been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton and an autopsy is scheduled for Feb. 23, 2024.
