Armed man arrested by Glovertown RCMP charged with number of offences

Twenty-three-year-old Noah Rowe of Glovertown was arrested by Glovertown RCMP shortly after midnight on April 17, 2024, and is charged with a number of criminal offences.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Glovertown RCMP received a report of a man armed with an edged weapon walking on the road yelling and swinging the weapon. Further reports indicated that the man swung the weapon at a motorist.

Officers arrived at the scene and the suspect, who was identified as Rowe, was arrested.

Rowe is charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Resisting arrest

He attended court today and was remanded into custody. He is set to appear in court on April 18, 2024.

No one was injured during this incident.
