Lumsden RCMP is currently responding to a large fire in a rural area near the landfill in Regina Beach.
Fire departments from Regina Beach, Lumsden and Bethune are also on scene.
Lumsden RCMP asks motorists to avoid the area south/southwest of Highway #54 at this time. There are some local road closures in place. Please abide by them, and follow the instructions of any emergency personnel near the scene.
Smoke may be heavy in the area and visibility may be affected. If you are driving through smoke, please slow down and ensure your headlights are on.
