On Feb. 8, 2024, at approximately 9:34 p.m., Okotoks RCMP were dispatched to a report of multiple shots fired at a residence on Crystal Shores Drive in Okotoks. Witnesses reported that immediately after the shooting, two suspects were seen running from the residence, and they departed the scene in what was believed to be a Toyota Highlander.
A visitor at the residence received injuries as a result of the shooting, which are reported as being non-life threatening.
A short time later the suspected get-away vehicle was located abandoned in Okotoks near the scene. It had been set on fire and had previously been reported as stolen. The suspects fled in a second vehicle, a pickup truck, unknown make/model, with a last known direction of travel towards the city of Calgary.
