Cole Harbour woman arrested for dangerous driving

Halifax District RCMP arrested a woman from Cole Harbour for dangerous driving following an incident in Cole Harbour.

On December 2 at approximately 11:20 p.m., a member of the Halifax District RCMP was driving on Caldwell Rd. when he recognized a woman driving a car that he stopped a few days prior. He knew this driver was suspended and attempted to stop the car. The driver sped away and failed to stop for a stop sign. The car then passed a marked police car on a double solid line on the Forest Hills Pkwy and then ran a red light at Main St. The car pulled over on the side of the Forest Hills Extension and the driver, a 22-year-old woman, was arrested without incident.

The driver is facing charges of Dangerous Driving, Flight from Police and was issued Summary Offence Tickets under the Motor Vehicle Act of Nova Scotia. She is schedule to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on January 27, 2020
