Update: On April 11, 2025, Todd Brian Forgrave appeared in Woodstock Provincial Court and was found guilty of possession of child pornography and sentenced to 2 years imprisonment. He was also ordered to register with the National Sex Offender Registry for 20 years and to provide a DNA sample. Following his release from prison, he will have to abide by conditions set out by the court, including not to communicate with any persons under the age of 16 years and not to attend any place that someone under the age of 16 years is known to be, for a period of 10 years.
A 47-year-old man from Belleville, N.B., has been charged in connection with an investigation into child pornography in the community.
The investigation, led by the New Brunswick RCMP's Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, began in March 2022, following information received from the RCMP's National Child Exploitation Crime Centre (NCECC).
On November 24, 2022, members of the RCMP ICE Unit, along with members of the Western Valley RCMP and the RCMP's Digital Forensic Services, executed a search warrant at a residence in Belleville, as part of the investigation. A 47-year-old man from the area was arrested at the scene, and police seized several electronic devices. The man was later released pending a future court appearance.
On November 14, 2023, a charge of possession of child pornography was laid against Todd Brian Forgrave in Woodstock Provincial Court. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 30, 2024.
The New Brunswick RCMP's Internet Child Exploitation Unit includes members from the Saint John Police Force and the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force. The RCMP's Digital Forensic Services Unit and members from the Northeast District RCMP assisted with the ongoing investigation.
