December 7, 2023, Charlottetown – Prince Edward Island RCMP stop two impaired drivers in just over two hours yesterday afternoon.

On December 6, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. an officer with the RCMP Provincial Priority Unit was conducting traffic enforcement in Hunter River when a car was stopped for speeding. The driver failed a roadside screening device for cannabis.

On December 6, 2023, at 4:18 p.m. East Prince RCMP responded to a collision between a dump truck and a car in Wellington. A charge of failing to provide a breath sample carries a similar penalty as impaired driving.

Both drivers are expected in court at a later date to answer to impaired driving charges.
