During the obstacle course, the applicant starts off running, then jumps over a 5' (1.5 m) mat, runs up and down stairs, pulls a U-turn to run back up and down the stairs, then around another cone and jumps over two hurdles 18" (0.45 m) high, then around another cone and performs a vault jump, landing through a controlled fall. This course is repeated six times.
