2018 Gender and Harassment Advisory Committee Annual Report - Depot

Background

Depot Division currently has 5 Divisional committees, 3 of which deal primarily with diversity and inclusion. No concerns were brought forward but clarification is required regarding the status of each committee and the roles of the sitting members.

Current Status

Each committee operates in isolation. A meeting is scheduled with the Commanding Officer, chair of the CO's Employee Equity committee and the Divisional representative for Workforce Culture and Employee Engagement to discuss ways forward and the interconnectivity of the various Divisional committees.

Next steps

It is recommended that a member of the Gender and Harassment Advisory Committee sit on the Employee Equity Committee and that the Chair of the Cadet Diversity Committee report concerns up to the Gender and Harassment Advisory Committee.
