Gender and Harassment Advisory Committees

The RCMP's Gender and Harassment Advisory Committees (GHACs) serve to provide advice to the Commissioner and Commanding Officers on matters related to gender, sexual orientation, harassment, equity and inclusivity. There is one national advisory committee, and a divisional advisory committee for each of the sixteen divisions.

The creation of the committees stems from the Merlo Davidson settlement agreement, and is one of the many change initiatives the RCMP has implemented in an effort to eliminate harassment and discrimination from the workplace.
